CIES® Biometrics Enrollment System (CBES®)

When additional security was requested for the CIES® system, Azimuth responded by developing a biometric enrollment system. Using COTS sensors and hardware, a software enrollment application was created to:

  • perform enrollments (craft, friendly, hostile, and unknown entities)
  • compare enrollments to local and national database watch lists
  • control craft personnel access to the integrated bridge

CBES® delivered a biometric addition for a proven software system to the U.S. Navy.

CIES® BridgeIT®

CIES® BridgeIT® is a software application that allows operators of CIES® to create custom screens for their mission and individual responsibilities. BridgeIT® enables a crew member to select the data sets of information and personalize their views across one or many screens. For example, in the image below, an operator has taken five main CIES® screens (Navigation, Video, Control and Sensors, Voltage and Current) and combined them into one BridgeIT® screen. This allows the operator to view data from separate systems simultaneously, thus providing a customized view of the craft status. With all this data available at once, operators can respond more efficiently and accurately to situations.
